Milestone T20I Innings Against Afghanistan and Bangladesh
Samson has scored the second-fastest fifty for India against Afghanistan in T20Is. He reached the fifty-run mark off 20 balls in the second T20I in Delhi in 2026.
He smashed 57 off 22 balls at a strike rate of 259.09, the third-highest by an Indian batter against Afghanistan in a T20I innings (minimum 10 balls faced).
The right-hander became the first Indian batter to score a T20I century against Bangladesh. He smashed 111 from 47 balls in the 2024 Hyderabad T20I.
His 111-run knock included 11 fours and eight sixes, the most fours and sixes by an Indian batter against Bangladesh in a T20I innings.
Samson is the only Indian batter with a strike rate above 200 against Bangladesh in T20Is (minimum 50 balls faced).
Record-Breaking T20I Performance Against England, Ireland and New Zealand
Samson has recorded the fifth-highest score for India against England in T20Is. He scored 89 off 42 balls in the semi-final of the 2026 T20 World Cup.
The 89-run knock is also the highest score by a wicketkeeper-batter against England in T20Is.
The Kerala batter has brought up the third-highest individual score for India against Ireland in T20Is. He aggregated 77 off 42 balls in the 2022 Dublin T20I. Notably, this was his maiden T20I fifty.
Samson became the third Indian batter to accumulate 100-plus runs against Ireland in T20Is.
Samson has smashed the fourth-highest individual score for India against New Zealand in T20Is. He scored 89 from 46 balls in the 2026 T20 World Cup final.
This is also the joint third-highest score by a wicketkeeper-batter against New Zealand in the shortest format.
His 89 is also the highest individual score by any batter in the final of a T20 World Cup.
Historic T20I Knocks Versus Oman, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies
Samson became the first Indian batter to score a half-century against Oman in T20Is. He scored 56 from 45 balls in Abu Dhabi in the 2025 Asia Cup.
Samson became the first Indian batter to smash two centuries against South Africa in T20Is. He scored 107 in Durban and an unbeaten 109 in Johannesburg on the 2024 South Africa tour.
His unbeaten 109 is the second-highest individual score by an Indian batter against the Proteas in T20Is.
Samson has the second-lowest batting average (around 14) and the third-lowest batting strike rate (around 130) for India against Sri Lanka in T20Is.
The right-hander has registered the third-highest individual score for India against the West Indies in T20Is. He brought up an unbeaten 97 off 50 balls in the Super Eights fixture in the 2026 T20 World Cup.
