Kuldeep Yadav is the leading wicket-taker for India in ODIs in the 2020s decade.
Kuldeep has claimed around 60 per cent of his wickets in India in this decade.
Kuldeep took 49 of his wickets in 2023, the most by an Indian bowler in a year in ODIs since 2020. In all, this is the fourth–most wickets by an Indian bowler in a year in ODIs.
Best Bowling and Five-Wicket Haul Records
Mohammed Shami is the only Indian bowler to claim more than two five-wicket hauls in ODIs this decade. He is, in fact, the only Indian bowler with more than five five-fors in ODIs.
Shami picked up four five-wicket hauls in 2023, the second-most by a bowler in a year in ODIs, with three of them coming in the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
Shami has also delivered the best bowling figures for India in ODIs. He took 7 for 57 against New Zealand in the 2023 CWC semi-final.
Series Performance and Bowling Metrics
Arshdeep Singh has picked up the most wickets for India in a bilateral ODI series since 2020. He fetched 10 wickets on the three-match South Africa tour in 2023.
Shami and Mohammed Siraj are the two Indian bowlers who average under 25 in ODIs in the 2020s (minimum 20 wickets taken).
Shami is the only Indian bowler to maintain a bowling strike rate under 25 in this period (minimum 20 wickets taken).
Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja are the four Indian bowlers with economy rates below five in ODIs this decade (minimum 500 balls bowled).
