- First Wicket in First Over on Debut: Indian pacer Gurnoor Brar achieved a dream milestone by picking up a wicket in his very first over of international cricket. He secured this debut wicket against Afghanistan.
- Historic Venue First: Prasidh Krishna recorded his first-ever ODI five-wicket haul with figures of 5/23 against Afghanistan. This made him the first Indian bowler to achieve a five-for at the iconic Chepauk Stadium.
