But what stands out is the batters who score runs with consistency throughout a season.

Key Insights on Highest Run Scorers in a Single CPL Season
Single-Season Aggregate and 500-Run Milestones in CPL
Colin Munro has scored the most runs in a single CPL season. He aggregated 567 runs across 13 innings for Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in 2018.
Munro’s 567 runs included six fifties, the most by a batter in a CPL season.
Nicholas Pooran became only the second batter to score 500-plus runs in a CPL season. He did so for TKR, with 504 runs in 11 innings.
Consecutive 400-Plus Run Seasons in CPL
Johnson Charles has the most 400-plus run seasons in the CPL, with three such instances in 2016 (441), 2019 (415) and 2024 (452). And he has done it for three different teams, St Lucia Zouks, Barbados Tridents and St Lucia Kings, respectively.
Chris Gayle (430 runs in 2015 & 425 runs in 2016 for Jamaica Tallawahs) and Nicholas Pooran (504 runs in 2024 & 426 runs in 2025 for Trinbago Knight Riders) are the two batters to score 400-plus runs each in two consecutive CPL seasons.
Positional Batting and Captaincy Run Records
Gayle’s 430 runs in 2015 are the most a captain has scored in a CPL edition.
Pooran’s 504 runs are the most by a wicketkeeper-batter in an edition of the CPL.
Brandon King’s 496 runs for Guyana Amazon Warriors in 2019 are the most by an opener in a single CPL season.
Boundary Hitting, Strike Rates and Season Averages in CPL
Dwayne Smith is the only batter to smash two centuries in a CPL season and that too twice. He did so in 2014 and 2017 for Barbados Tridents.
Evin Lewis hammered 38 sixes in 11 innings for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2021, the most by a batter in a CPL edition.
Lewis (31 in 2017) and Gayle (33 in 2015 & 37 in 2016) are the two batters with 30-plus sixes each in two CPL seasons.
Kieron Pollard has recorded the highest batting strike rate in a CPL season (minimum 100 balls). He struck at 204.95 while scoring 207 runs in seven innings for TKR in 2020.
Andre Russell is the other batter to strike above 200 in a single CPL edition (219 runs at 200.91 in 2014 for Tallawahs).
David Miller has registered the highest batting average in a CPL season (minimum five innings). He averaged 68.33 while scoring 205 runs across seven innings for the Tallawahs in 2018.
