Key Insights
Dwayne Bravo is the first player to pick 100 wickets in Caribbean Premier League history. His wicket of Rahkeem Cornwall in the 2020 game between the Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Zouks, played at Port of Spain on August 26, 2020, was also his 500th wicket overall in T20s – a feat only 6 players in the format has achieved.
What helped Bravo stay at the top of his game is his table-topping six 4-wicket hauls in the Windies league, which includes a 5-fer (5/23 against the Jamaica Tallawahs in 2015).
In 2024, Imran Tahir became the first overseas bowler to achieve the milestone of 100 wickets in the CPL.
The South African bowler (Imran Tahir) is also the fastest to reach 100 wickets in the tournament. He took 71 innings to pick his 100th CPL wicket, while Bravo reached the milestone in 73 innings.
Bravo’s tally of 28 wickets in the 2015 season is the highest any bowler has picked in a single CPL season.
Shakib Al Hasan’s 6-fer is the only 6-wicket haul in CPL history.
