Mohammad Rizwan is the fastest batter to score 3000 runs in T20Is. The Pakistani keeper-batter took 79 innings to reach the mark.

UAE’s Muhammad Waseem is the fastest batter to achieve the mark in terms of time taken, going past 3000 runs in three years and 345 days after his debut in October 2021.

Suryakumar Yadav, meanwhile, is the quickest to 3000 T20I runs in terms of balls faced. He played 1822 deliveries to complete the landmark.


Slowest to 3000 T20I Runs by Innings & Time

Paul Stirling is the slowest batter to 3000 T20I runs, taking 113 innings to achieve the milestone. 

David Warner, though, has taken the most time, surpassing his 3000 T20I runs in 15 years and 33 days after his debut in January 2009.

Rizwan is also the quickest to aggregate 3000 T20I runs as an opener (71 innings) and as a wicketkeeper (79 innings).

Stirling is also the slowest among openers, completing 3000 runs in 112 innings while opening for Ireland.

Jos Buttler took the most innings as a wicketkeeper, scoring 3000 runs in 99 T20I innings.

Virat Kohli was the first batter to cross the 3000-run mark in T20I cricket, taking 81 innings in 2021.

Kohli averaged 50.86 after completing 3000 T20I runs. This is the highest batting average by a batter after surpassing the mark.

Suryakumar Yadav, meanwhile, had a strike rate of 165.48 after reaching the milestone, the highest by a batter after 3000 T20I runs.


Youngest & Oldest to 3000 T20I Runs

Malaysia’s Virandeep Singh is the youngest to cross 3000 runs in T20Is at the age of 26 years and 124 days in July 2025.

Warner is the oldest batter to score 3000 T20I runs, going past the mark at the age of 37 years and 110 days in February 2024.
