Key Insights from the Top 10 Players with Most 50+ Scores

Virat Kohli surpassed David Warner to occupy the top spot on this list. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter has scored over 60 fifties and eight hundreds.
While Kohli leads the chart here, Warner has the most scores of 50 or more runs in wins. The southpaw’s 41 out of the 66 fifty-plus knocks ended up on the winning side.
On the contrary, Kohli has the most 50 and above scores in losses. His 29 fifty-plus scores, including three centuries, went in vain as RCB lost the games.
Kohli went past the 50-run mark 11 times in 2016, the most by a batter in a season. He converted four of those scores to hundreds, again the most in an edition.

Faf du Plessis, the record-Virat Kohli partner during his RCB times, has the most fifty-plus scores among the batters who haven’t scored a century yet in the league. Gautam Gambhir follows him with 36 fifties but no hundreds.
Warner has accrued the most fifty-plus scores against a team in the IPL. He has 13 scores of 50 or more runs against Punjab Kings.
Warner is also the only batter with 10 or more fifty-plus knocks against two teams (10 vs RCB). Kohli is the other batter to have more than 10 fifties against a team (11 vs Delhi Capitals).
Virender Sehwag (2012), Jos Buttler (2018), and Warner (2019) scored five consecutive fifty-plus scores, the joint-most in the IPL.
Suresh Raina holds the top position with the most fifties in the playoffs. The left-hand batter scored seven half-centuries, with five of them coming in wins.
