Sooryavanshi’s T20I Debut Milestones
After delivering a spectacular IPL 2026 season, Indian selectors fast-tracked Sooryavanshi into the T20I squad.
He soon made his debut against England in the 2026 Manchester T20I. He, unfortunately, didn’t have a memorable debut, scoring 14 off 10 balls.
Sooryavanshi was 15 years and 99 days old, making him the youngest debutant among full-member players in T20Is. He also became the second-youngest debutant among full-member players in international cricket.
Sooryavanshi’s Individual T20I Performance Records in 2026
After a disappointing England tour, Sooryavanshi blasted his maiden T20I fifty against Zimbabwe. He smashed 50 off 19 balls at an outrageous strike rate of 263.15 in the first T20I in Harare.
He reached the 50-run mark off 18 balls, making it the fastest fifty by an Indian batter against Zimbabwe in T20Is.
With that knock, Sooryavanshi became the youngest half-centurion in T20I and international cricket at the age of 15 years and 118 days.
In the third Harare T20I, the left-hander brought up 81 off 49 balls, the third-highest individual score for India against Zimbabwe in T20Is.
He became the first batter to score two or more fifties before turning 16 in international cricket.
Sooryavanshi ended the 2026 Zimbabwe tour with 151 runs in three innings. This is the second-most runs by an Indian batter against Zimbabwe in a bilateral T20I series.
