The West Indies’ 27 all out is also the lowest total by a team in a day-night Test.

Ireland have recorded the lowest fourth innings total in an away Test. They were bowled out for 38 by England in the 2019 Lord’s Test.


Fewest Overs Faced & Lowest Run Rate in the Fourth Test Innings

The West Indies batted for just 14.3 overs while scoring 27 runs. This is the fewest overs faced by a team in the fourth innings of a Test.

South Africa and the West Indies have recorded two instances each of getting bowled out within 20 overs in the fourth Test innings.

South Africa have registered the lowest run rate in the fourth innings of a Test. They scored at 0.99 while getting bowled out for 143 against India in the 2015 Delhi Test.


Most Sub-100 Totals in the Fourth Test Innings

Australia, England and South Africa have scored below-100 totals nine or more times in the fourth Test innings.

England and Australia have bowled out opponents under 100 runs 10 or more times in the fourth Test innings.

Australia have conceded the largest Test defeat by runs. England beat them by 675 runs after getting bowled out for 66 in the 1928 Brisbane Test.

Australia and India have recorded one instance each of levelling the scores in the fourth innings of a Test. Basically, they featured in tied Tests against the West Indies and Australia in 1960 and 1986, respectively.
